Practice Development Day

    What is the Sonas Practice Development Day?
    In order to maintain the Sonas™ practitioner licence, an SLP needs to attend an annual SLP Practice Development day. SLPs will receive an updated licence certificate on the day featuring the new licence start and end date.

    What does the day involve/Learning outcomes
    Learn more about how to maximise the benefits of the two Sonas Individual Sessions (Understanding/reviewing documentation, self -preparation for the Individual sessions including oneself and the care environment)

    • Further develop your person centred dementia care skills to connect and engage with people with dementia.
    • Network with other Sonas Licensed Practitioners.
    • Gain new knowledge about the lived experience of dementia and relationship-centred care.
    • Gain new knowledge about public understanding of dementia and how dementia can be reframed.
    • Receive your new, updated Sonas Licence certificate on the day, featuring your new licence renewal date.

    Practice Development Training Days
    Sonas Practice Development Days’ will be scheduled regularly in Dublin, Cork and Galway to enable SLPs to renew their licence. All licensed practitioners are strongly recommend to attend Practice Development Day every 2 years in order to maintain their licence, licence renewal will be a requirement from January 2015.
