This 3-day course provides training in the use of the Sonas programme, a therapeutic communication activity for people with dementia. It is suitable for nurses, Allied Health professionals, Activity Co-ordinators, Care assistants, and others involved in caring for or working with people with dementia.
The course takes place on three days over a 10 week period, and also involves work-based learning.
Upon successful completion of the 3-day course & work-based learning attendees become Sonas Licensed Practitioners (SLP) and receive a Sonas Licence certificate and badge. The Sonas licence is valid for 2 years and renewal takes place through a combination of E-Learning & practical training.
Please note, you will need to purchase a Sonas and Sims kit before commencing day one in order to complete the work-based learning needed to fulfil the course. If you have these in your organisation already, there is no need to purchase them. please order the kits by calling 012608138.
Bookings for each course will be closed once the course commences. Attendees must make sure that they will be available to attend all 3 dates highlighted above before booking on a Sonas course.
